Chocolate & Peanut Butter: Smoothie-Shake Recipe

Hello Friends!

I believe that every diet should have a “free” day, which allows you to eat something that you are not supposed to eat. For example: Chocolate, peanut butter, pizza, chips, and more things that we actually enjoy eating. So, I thought about to give a little twist to my previous posts and come up with a delicious recipe with an awesome ingredient that most of the people LOVE: CHOCOLATE!

I am a huge chocolate fan, so I wanted to create a new recipe using cacao and peanut butter flavors. However, do not get my wrong! It is still healthy, not as healthy as my other recipes but this smoothie-shake is high in proteins!

One of the main ingredients is the amazing plant-based protein powder that I regularly use to have a protein balanced diet ⇒ This protein powder has a delicious chocolate peanut butter flavor and its texture makes every smoothie to be the best one. It gives you the perfect formula to get the whole food nutrition that your body needs!

The best thing about this plant-based protein is that you can mix it with different type of drinks and food recipes and the flavor will still be the same. Scoop, stir, smile!

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 scoop Protein Superfood: Chocolate Peanut Butter
  • ¼ cup cacao powder
  • 1/2  banana (if it is frozen better!)
  • 4 ice cubes
  •  Sweetener of your choice
  • Optional: chocolate chips, coconut powder, almonds, etc.

Note: You can use another type of milk such us: oat milk, coconut milk, or even low-fat milk

Blend!
  • Now it is time to blend all the ingredients but the “optional” one, which are the toppings.
  • After blending everything, add your topping and it is ready to drink!

Note: This smoothie-shake is perfect for summer days and for your snack time! It also helps you to take a break from your current diet!

Remember: The smoothie-shake is still high in protein!

  1. Hey Javiera, I like chocolate and I am on a diet the last few weeks. I have a protein powder in my diet that is recommended by my trainer.

    I will show him that post, it looks great. He has given me a vanilla protein powder. I guess that is good for people who are trained regularly. Right?

      The flavor is not a big deal when talking about gaining muscle mass. Flavor is only that, flavor. It is great that you are takining a protein that a trainer recommeded you! I personally do not like vanilla flavor haha but there are always more options when talking about flavors!

I love Reese’s peanut butter cups so I am sure I will love this chocolate peanut butter smoothie (and healthier for me too) 🙂 I haven’t heard of this product before, but from what I’m reading it is something to look into. It can help control my cravings for bad foods…which I am guilty of eating too much (sugars especially, though I am trying to break myself of that)

    i agree with you that every diet should have a free day which allows to eat something that are not supposed to eat
    but if one really serious about he/her healthy life i think there is needs for control .

      That is why I have tried to come up with a simple recipe and a delicious way to enjoy peanut butter and chocolate at the same time 😀

  7. You mentioned every diet should have a “free” day, but this doesn’t seem like an unhealthy choice of foods. Chocolate is actually good for you in moderation. Does this have a vanilla peanut butter option as I have always preferred vanilla over chocolate .

      I know it is still healthy than other smoothies, however, some of the diets (or most of them) does not allow that much sugar in it. However, this smoothie still contributes to your protein intake.
      They have a vanilla flavor but is not mixed with peanut butter as the chocolate flavor is.

  8. I agree with you that everyone should have what I call a “cheat day”. This is the perfect smoothie recipe for my cheat day. I eat a bit of peanut butter now and again, but not chocolate. Thanks for sharing. I will let you know how I like it…I am sure that I will.

    Those are some interesting recipes and the fact that they are organic is a major plus. Ar e there any shakes for us who wants to get bigger,a post workout shake maybe? That would be awesome.

      Let me explain you something: If you are looking to gain muscle mass, your best chance is to drink your proteing shake right after your works out. I normally recommend my readers to drink their smoothie in the morning, however, if you want to get bigger then take it after your work out! I will also recommend you to use spinach, oatmeal, and banana, because they are high in proteins 😀
